Day 2: Kafnu to Mulling

  • The first day of the trek is a gentle hike through a beautiful forest. You will also get to see the Bhaba Hydroelectric Project, India's first underground dam.
  • Distance: 10 km
  • Duration: 5-6 hours
  • Campsite: Mulling (3,250 m)

Day 3: Mulling to Kara

  • The trail continues to climb gradually, with stunning views of the valley below. You will also cross a few streams and waterfalls along the way.
  • Distance: 6.5 km
  • Duration: 4-5 hours
  • Campsite: Kara (3,700 m)

Day 4: Kara to Pushtirang

Day 6: Rest Day at Baldar

  • You will need a rest day to acclimatize to the higher altitude before crossing the Pin Bhaba Pass. You can spend the day exploring the surrounding area or just relax at the campsite.

Day 7: Baldar to Mudh to Kaza

  • The last day of the trek is a relatively easy hike down to the village of Mudh. From Mudh, you can take a taxi to Kaza, the main town in Spiti Valley.
  • Distance: 15 km + 50 km (taxi)
  • Duration: 5-6 hours trek + 2 hours drive
